The Egyptian Empire

Well, being confined to bed is no fun! And of course, stitching is quite impossible as well. But, I did get some stitching done before my enforced bedrest, and my mother took a piccie of it for me :-)

I was working on lanarte kit The Egyptian Empire by Maria Van Scharrenburg. I did a look of work on Toetanchamon. This Farao demands lots of work, because there are tons of backstitches in it, and most of those backstitches are in DMC gold metallic, and that's not always fun to work with.

So let me know what you think of it so far.

and now it's back to bed for me...

Looks great so far and I can see all the sparkles in it. Is it impossible to stitch while in bed?? I would think you can sit up in bed and have your stitching there to work on. It certainly would make the time go faster!!!

Looks good, Katrien. I'd think it would be OK to stitch in bed. I do it all the time. :) Good luck with the bedrest. I know it would drive me batty, lol.

Looks good - try seeing if you can stitching in bed - worth a shot!

Looks fantastic! You may want to try the Petite Treasures braid for the gold instead of DMC, it's much much easier to work with.

Glad to hear that the tests turned out well, just continue to follow doctors orders and that wee on will be in your arms in no time.

Love the progress. Happy to be able to see the metallics. They don't photograph well usually. Keep up with the bedrest.
